FROM THE PALACE OF LOVE

“With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.”
Psalm 45:15 KJV

Evangelist Henry Barraclough wrote the beautiful hymn “Ivory Palaces”. Thank God that Jesus loves us and that He left His palace and came to earth to die for our sins. There is no greater love than the love of Jesus. “Out of the ivory palaces, Into a world of woe, Only His great eternal love Made my Savior go.”

Jesus didn’t come from a palace like we know, He came from a palace where love reigned. Nobody yelled at each other there. God and Jesus love each other and they encourage and comfort one another. What a precious loving Heavenly Father and what a tender loving Saviour we are privileged to know and have.

I believe that God prepared His Son for the war against satan and said to Jesus “I will be with You, My Son. It is breaking my heart to know that You are going to have to die. I love You very much, Son, and I will comfort and encourage You when Your heart is broken and the tears start to fall”.

An undeserved and unconditional love comes from the palace of love. This amazing compassionate and forgiving love comes from the heart of God and from the heart of Jesus. How encouraging and comforting it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that they love us and will love us for all eternity.

Heavenly Father, I love You. Dear Jesus, I love You. Thank You for loving me and for being a precious Father and a loving Saviour. Jesus, thank You for loving us so much that You left the comforts of Your home and Your Father to come to earth to die for our sins. How I long to see You face to face!
