HIS LIGHTHOUSE OF LOVE

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
John 8:12 KJV

Yesterday was a very difficult and challenging day for me. There was nothing wrong. I was very happy when all of a sudden, without any warning; I felt a huge dark blanket of sadness come over me. I couldn’t even send a prayer request so I did the only thing I could do. I said “Jesus, please help me”.

Jesus is so faithful. He has never failed me yet and He never will. He put His loving arms around me and picked me up and carried me all day through my day of sadness. He set me once again on the mountain top of happiness. What a loving and faithful Saviour we are privileged to know and have!

Ronnie Hinson wrote the song “The Lighthouse”. “There’s a lighthouse on a hillside that overlooks life’s sea. When I’m tossed He sends out a light, light that I might see, And the light that shines in darkness now Will safely lead me on If it wasn’t for the lighthouse This ship would sail no more.”

Yes, Jesus is our lighthouse in a world of darkness and despair. How I thank God for His lighthouse of love. Has it entered your heart yet how much God loves you? He loves you so much that He sent His beloved Son to die for your sins. Jesus was beaten, ridiculed and crucified on the cross for you.

Heavenly Father, You are a compassionate, tender and forgiving Father. I love You with all of my heart. Jesus, thank You for dying for my sins. Thank You for carrying me through the dark valleys of my life. You are so precious to me. Amen.
