OUR GREATEST FRIEND

“And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.”
Mark 6:34 KJV

Will L. Thompson wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour “Jesus is All the World to Me”. Indeed, Jesus is all the world to me! I love these words. “When I am sad, to Him I go, no other one can cheer me so; When I am sad, He makes me glad, He’s my friend.” No one loves us like Jesus loves us.

Jesus is not only our greatest friend, He is also a compassionate friend. He really cares about us. When we are discouraged and sad, His heart is moved with compassion for us. It is then that He picks us up and carries us through all the dark valleys of our life and sets us once again on the mountain top of happiness.

I am very blessed to have many good friends who I love but Jesus is the only friend who never leaves me, not even for one minute. Jesus is with me when I am sad and hurting and He is with me when I am happy and laughing. O how I love You, precious Jesus! Thank You for never leaving me.

If you feel like nobody loves you or cares about you, remember that Jesus loves you and cares about you so much that He allowed them to crucify Him for your sins. He will be your greatest Friend if you will only trust Him. If you have never invited Him into your heart, do it now before it is too late!
