WILL HE BE ASHAMED

“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
Mark 8:38 KJV

Fanny Crosby wrote a beautiful hymn “Will Jesus Find Us Watching?” I believe that she wrote this hymn from the depths of her heart. “When Jesus comes to reward His servants, Whether it be noon or night, Faithful to Him will He find us watching, With our lamps all trimmed and bright?”

Jesus is coming back for us and we had better be ready. “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6). Jesus could come back for us today, are you ready to meet Him? If not, I urge you, I plead with you to get your heart right with God.

I wonder if Jesus will be ashamed of us when He comes back for us. If we are watching a movie on television that has sex, cursing and violence in it, not only will He will be ashamed of us, it will also break His heart. We should be eagerly watching and waiting for our precious Saviour to come back for us.

Will Jesus be ashamed of you because you haven’t told people about Him? How embarrassing, humiliating and heartbreaking it will be if we can’t look Jesus in the eye when He comes back for us because we haven’t been watching and waiting for Him every day.

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20). Jesus, I long to see You face to face. I love You with all of my heart and I appreciate all You have done for me and all that You do for me.
